Classroom Supply List

6th Grade HG Classroom Supply List

Dear Families,

This year, we shopped all of the deals and have already purchased all of the necessary school supplies for your student. We have limited storage space and so the items were chosen specifically to fit in students' areas. Any extra supplies will be used for shared classroom supplies.  Our goal is for students to be organized and prepared as they transition from elementary to middle school. Students will be using a school supplied agenda. We ask for a $10 donation to help cover the cost of supplies for the school year. Families are also welcome to provide a scholarship for another student who may not be able to afford the cost of the supplies. Please look around your house and send in any extra glue sticks, pencils, pens, colored pencils, highlighters, etc.  We like to make use of extra school supplies.

Students will need the following (not included in the pre-purchased supplies):

Backpack

Gym Shoes labeled with your student's name

Wish List for Classroom Donations:

Pencils

Colored Pencils

No-Scent Markers

Plastic DVD Cases (Not CD size, but the cases that movies come in.  Used ones work great!)

Graph Paper

Expo Markers

Hand Sanitizer

Scissors

Amazon/Barnes and Noble/Title Wave gift cards for purchasing books for the classroom

6th Grade HG currently has two projects posted on DonorsChoose.org - a great way to support the classroom

7th/8th Grade Math (Pre - Algebra) Supplies

2 - Spiral notebooks. 70-100 sheet. College Ruled.

1 - Composition book

2 - Blue ballpoint pen (no gel pens) - (this is a starting number - I recommend keeping a larger stock at home to restock throughout the year)

2 - Pencils

1 - 12" ruler labeled with student name

1 - Stretchy book cover (the jumbo size fits our books well) or a hand made book cover

Graph paper supply for home (many students prefer a graph paper notebook to use at school and home - graph paper will be supplied in class)

Students will be graded on coming to class prepared with these items.  I recommend students put their writing utensils in a supply pouch for carrying to and from math class.
